Kurt Rostek is a Toronto based Artist who has been exhibiting in Toronto galleries since the early 1980's, and has more recently seen forays into New York city and Beijing. He is a Painter who has worked in water colours, acrylic and oils.
His work has largely been structured much like a writer may structure a novel, in as much as he works in very focused series' of works with a central idea and exploding from its centre examining every facet of it on the way to its' outer edges.
Kurts' interests and influences do not just take their origins from other artists but also sources as varied as the beat writers, his life travels, and Buddhism. Each examined with the adroitness of an acrobat and a scientist performing the St. Vitus dance.
